OverseasEmployment.ca overseas school resources list.

The ESL teaching business is a thriving and ever changing way for Native English speakers to travel abroad, work and make a comfortable living while living in a foreign country, with little or no post secondary education. Since the late 1980’s, teaching English abroad has become more popular year by year. That means competition for jobs has also grown. However, even with this growth, there is still more demand for teachers overseas then people to fill the ESL positions. The following list of schools, have, at some time, or continue to hire English teachers and ESL instructors.

My name is Philip McAlary, and I am the Managing Director of a Licensed Vancouver, based recruiting Agency, www.OverseasEmployment.ca I am also a licensed ESL instructor and have designed an ESL/TESOL/TECOL certification course. I have been in the work/travel business for about 18 years. I have been a teacher overseas and enjoyed the experience thoroughly.

OverseasEmployment.ca has been collecting information and researching teaching jobs since the early 1990’s. ESL jobs then, were plentiful and paid a much higher wages. Today, it has become a big business. English has become the international language of the world. Every year enrollments in overseas Foreign Language Schools continues to rise. Schools are opening up almost daily in Asia, but in the same breath, they are also shutting down at an amazing rate as well. The close downs are usually due to poor management as opposed to lack of students.

We have included in the following resource list, schools from around the globe, with the greatest number of institutions located in Asia. Some of our listings date back as far as 1997.

Our agency has established clients that prefer to use our company more as a matter of convenience and time then anything else. Our job is to advertise, market and check our candidate’s references. We communicate on behalf of the candidate, thereby creating a buffer zone between the school and the teacher. Many of the largest schools overseas will use their own marketing methods along with the use of recruiting agencies to gain highly qualified instructors. Smaller schools do not have the budget to pay recruiters, so they do their own hiring and advertise mostly using the web.

When sending your resume to the various schools, be sure to include a resent picture of your self. All the overseas schools require this. We wish you luck in your ESL job search. Some schools overseas also hire other subject teaching besides just English.

OverseasEmployment.ca is always looking for ESL teachers, so feel free to drop us your picture and resume. Just log on to our site for more information. Good luck and good job-hunting.
